Fluid Works
7 / 2025
A currently ongoing project about building custom bicycle frames using parametric models, robotics and lasers.

Industrial processes struggle with individual needs, often leading to a specific range of sizes that is not always optimal for everybody. FluidWorks bridges the gap between custom and industrial manufacturing by combining craftsmanship with robotics.

An industrial robot cuts the individual tubes with a laser based on the specification by the customer. The frames are then welded using a modern laser welding process.

This process allows high individualization while maintaining the efficiency of industrial production – making custom frames accessible to a wider audience.
