Dustform is a browser-based application that allows users like carpenters to easily and efficiently create part sketches and create the tool paths for CNC machining simultaneously. This approach eliminates traditional bottlenecks in the workflow.
Dustform focusses on 2D drafting of parts. This process is closely connected to the actual machining process, allowing to define cutting depths and tools right away. All necessary sketching functionalities like snapping and transformations are still there – to get as fast as possible from idea to machining.
The special feature of Dustform is the integration of a smart AI agent that allows users to prompt their solution instead of having to construct it themselves. This works really well – from repetitive tasks to generating rather complex drafts. The results can then be iterated on using the sketch functions again.
Tool management is built right into the application. This allows users to easily create new tools and switch between different tools and machining parameters. Machining parameters can be set directly on the tools themselves to make generating toolpaths effortless.
